Accessibility Statement

Accessibility Statement for UP in BCP

We are committed to ensuring digital accessibility for people with disabilities. We are continually improving the user experience for everyone, and applying the relevant accessibility standards.

Conformance status and measures to support accessibility

Our website has a score of 100/100 with Google’s Lighhouse / WCAG Accessibility guidelines.

Additional accessibility considerations

Whilst in our native state the website doesn’t meet the ideal guidelines for contrast ratio we have gone above and beyond with a range of user-specific accessibility tools accessed from the right of the screen by selecting the accessibility icon. Within this menu, you can alter the contrast ratio, select a white or grey site experience, alter fonts, font sizes, and more to ensure a usable experience with our website.

We are always continually working to ensure all our images have alt attributes that clearly explain them for screen readers.

Feedback

If you come across accessibility issues when using our website, please contact us with these so we can review and look to improve our site further for all users. You can contact us from our contact page.

Compatibility with browsers

Our site is tested for use on all current, major browsers. That includes Google Chrome, Opera, Microsoft Edge, Safari and Firefox for desktop users and the equivalent on both Android and IOS devices.

The website is not tested on Amazon devices, though through using modern website development guidlines we trust the experience should be fine here.

The website is not tested or maintained for use on outdated browsers, specifically the site is not built to work with Internet Explorer which is a discontinued product from Microsoft.

Technical specifications

The Up in BCP site is a custom built website. The website relies on HTML, CSS, and Javascript (Jquery and other Jquery addons) to function.

Ongoing

We are always further assessing our website to ensure we remain WCAG Compliant.
